It's tempting to think you can just compare part numbers. But an 8 mm linear bearing with a 24 mm length is not the same as one with a 32 mm length. The number only matters if the spec matches.
The Bottom Line: Honest Limitations
Would I recommend Johnson Electric for every job? No. No brand is right for every application. If you're doing planned maintenance, order ahead, use normal shipping, and avoid rush fees. But when the deadline is real and the spec is confirmed, a manufacturer with an official website that lets you verify products and distributors who actually carry stock is worth a lot.
The value of guaranteed turnaround isn't the speed—it's the certainty. For a production deadline, an estimated delivery date is almost useless.
